Wow! Wow! Wow!! Each and every person who has contributed to my fundraiser has done something truly wonderful! You ALL have helped so many kitties!! The kitties thank you!! I have updated my goal. Please help me reach it! Sonny says, "Thank you so much!!!"

This is my SECOND Shelter Slumber Pawty at The Cat Hut! I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful and exciting event AGAIN! Last year, our organization was able to raise $23,776 to help our community cats! This year we would like to raise $24,360 - equal to 6 months of TNR spay/neuter surgeries. I raised a little over $1,500 last year, so I am starting there this year!!

When I was asked to be a Board Member for the Hamilton County AdvoCATes, I was beyond thrilled and immediately accepted. I love being a part of this organization; wonderful things are done for the cats of Hamilton County. I have lived in Hamilton County for most of my life, so seeing firsthand how this organization helps cats and kittens here makes me proud to be a part of it!

I have always had a love for animals, especially my kitty friends! All of my cats have been adopted (actually ALL have chosen us!) One of the reasons I fell in love with my husband is his love of animals as well. When Connor and I first started dating, my cat Mittens accepted him whole-heartedly and I knew he was the one! Currently, we have 6 of our own kitties!

Sonny, Moonee, Jack, Sabine, Ezra, and Zeb! Like I said, they all found us. Sonny and Moonee were found on the highway as little babies right by my in-law's house. We had two older girls Mittens and Kizzie that I had adopted and they accepted Son and Moon into our family. Jack showed up at my in-law's farm and chose us as well. He even trotted around on their roof a time or two before we knew that he was going to join our family! Sabine, Ezra, and Zeb were our first and last fosters because we instantly foster failed! One of my friends was caring for their mom out in the country who we named Hera. Hera brought her babies to their farm and they found a home for one of her four kittens. I knew that I needed to take care of this wonderful, resilient mother. She came to our house with her three babies and she settled in right away. She loved laying on the bed and the comfy carpet, which I'm sure she had never had the chance to do her whole life. She also played with toys for the first time ever. We got to spend about a month and a half with her and her sweet babies, and Connor and I planned on adopting her. When she was taken to ISU to be spayed, she sadly passed away. They guessed she was probably 9 or 10. She took the best care of the babies and was the best mom! We are still heartbroken about it even now. That's when we decided that we had to adopt her babies. Not long after we adopted them officially, I was asked to be on the board for the Hamilton County AdvoCATes.

The Hamilton County AdvoCATes and The Cat Hut helped a community cat that was living in our garage this winter. We cared for him, but I knew he looked like he needed some veterinary care. I called The AdvoCATes at The Cat Hut and they helped me right away! Turns out our boy needed flea treatment, vaccines, and to be neutered. I am so grateful to this organization for their help and care for our sweet outside boy!

I would be so grateful for your support in reaching my fundraising goal (and maybe surpassing it!). Every dollar makes a difference in providing food, medical care, and shelter for these deserving cats.
