My name is Shannen! I am sleeping over at Humane Rescue Alliance DC this weekend (April 18) to raise $$$ for shelter animals!
I grew up with a beagle rescued from a backyard, Spot, who shared his name with a past cat of ours. After Boozy, my brown tabby cat went missing, and was never found, I decided to volunteer with shelter pups for my grief, and quickly realized it was TREMENDOUSLY fun & rewarding. It even pushed me to pursue a Master in Social Work degree, which I will begin this summer!
