Support Sarge’s Today!

Hi, I’m Emily Trigin, the Event & Fundraising Coordinator for Sarge’s. I joined the team in February 2025, which means my job description is roughly: plan events, raise money for animals, and convince cats and dogs to look cute on the internet.

You might not always see me at the shelter, but you’ve definitely seen my work. I’m the face behind Sarge’s social media posts, the one greeting you at events, and the lady holding a rectangle in a dog or cat’s face saying “just one more picture” about 47 times.

This year I’m taking part in our Shelter Slumber Pawty, which means I’ll be spending the night at the shelter with the animals. There will be puppy snores, midnight meows, and a strong possibility that I will question my life choices around 3 a.m. when a dog decides it is breakfast time.

My personal goal is to raise $250 to support Sarge’s. We’re a completely donor funded nonprofit that has helped more than 15,000 cats and dogs find loving homes over the past 21 years, and every dollar helps provide food, medical care, enrichment, and a safe place for pets while they wait for their people.
