🐾 Danny & Jordan: The Foster Kittens Who Stole Our Hearts 🐾
Our second foster litter was small but mighty—two little kittens, Danny and Jordan, who needed a little extra help gaining weight. At first, they were shy and uncertain of their new surroundings. But with time, patience, and plenty of love, they quickly realized they were safe.
Danny was the sweetest boy, always up for snuggles and treats. He had the gentlest soul, melting into cuddles like he was made for them. Jordan, on the other hand, was pure energy—spunky, wild, and full of life. They were opposites in the best way, balancing each other out and bringing so much joy into our home.
They came to us at just the right time. Every night before bed, I ended my day with them—holding them, being present, and letting go of all the noise of everything else. In those quiet moments, I needed them more than they needed me.
Fostering is always about giving kittens a second chance, but sometimes, they give us one too. ❤️

Hi! We’re a mom and daughter (11 years old) duo, and we are so excited to participate in The Cat Hut’s Slumber Pawty—a 24-hour event where we’ll stay overnight at the shelter with the cats to raise money for this incredible place!
The Cat Hut isn’t just a shelter to us. It’s a home filled with love, second chances, and comfort—not just for the cats but for us, too. Life can be hard sometimes; this little shelter has been our happy place through some of our most challenging moments. It’s where we’ve found hope, laughter, and healing. The way this organization gives back to our community goes way beyond medical care and finding homes for cats.
During some of our hardest moments, when everything felt uncertain and heavy, The Cat Hut became more than a place for cats—it became a place of healing for us, too. In visiting The Cat Hut, we found comfort, purpose, and a quiet kind of peace. Their soft purrs, gentle trust, and small moments of joy reminded us how to keep going when it felt impossible. Piper has been trying to rescue cats since she was old enough to walk, and the joy The Cat Hut has brought her has rescued pieces of my own heart.
They needed us—but in so many ways, we needed them just as much.
The first litter of six kittens we fostered tested positive for FeLV, a virus that often makes it hard for them to find homes. But The Cat Hut never gave up on them. They found loving families for every single one, proving that every cat deserves a chance, no matter their challenges.
Now, we want to give back. The Cat Hut relies on donations to provide medical care, food, and safe shelter for the cats who need them most. By sponsoring our Slumber Pawty, you’ll be helping this amazing rescue continue its mission. Every dollar makes a difference—whether it’s providing medicine for a sick kitten, food for a hungry stray, or a warm bed for a senior cat who has nowhere else to go.
This year, the organization has set a lofty goal of $24,360. Why this number? That is 6 months' worth of The Cat Hut's spay and neuter procedures.
