Tammy Grove ~ Eat, Sleep, Rescue & Repeat 🐾💙

It’s almost here!  The 3rd Annual Shelter Slumber Paw-ty!  

On April 18, 2026 the Boone Area Humane Society will make a little extra space in their shelter for their additional human guests.  We’ll be having a sleepover with the cats & dogs currently available for adoption. 

Every year, the shelter takes in animals who have nowhere else to go. From abandoned and starving dogs, to kittens with serious medical needs, to cats and dogs who were left outside in harsh conditions, these animals depend on the shelter for a second chance 💙

This will be my third year spending the night with friends and adoptable animals in Boone.  It’s the best fundraising event I’ve ever attended!  I always look forward to the next year as I’m driving home the following morning!

This year was a rough one for me personally as I had to make hard decisions and say goodbye to three of my own kittys 💔 I tend to adopt the animals that most may consider unadoptable and I have not ever regretted that.

This year all funds that I am able to raise will be donated to the Boone Area Humane Society in memory of my kitty, Duke.  He was complicated, comical, chaotic & feisty!  He was loved by many and feared by even more! 😂  He preferred the company of dogs over other cats.  If you ever saw Sheba or Shep he was usually not far behind.  I will forever miss his little steps, following me around the house.
