It’s Day 4 of fundraising for Shelter Slumber Pawty and we’re closing in on $3,000! 🎉🐾

Your donations are already making a difference for cats like Aliena and Cali. 💕 These sweet girls were found in someone’s garage in the middle of winter, just trying to survive. Aliena even had two babies with her, and they were all struggling to make it.

Because of supporters like you, we’re able to say “yes” when those urgent calls for help come in—no matter how tough the situation.

Get ready for a night (and day!) of compassion, fun, and a whole lot of heart. On April 18, 2026, the team at the Boone Area Humane Society will once again be pawtying with the animals during our third annual Shelter Slumber Pawty. As part of a nationwide event, our staff and supporters will spend 24 hours at the shelter—eating, sleeping, playing, and celebrating the animals who count on us every day.

Each year, animals arrive at our doors with nowhere else to go. We welcome starving dogs abandoned by their owners, animals suffering from serious medical conditions, kittens rescued from devastating situations like house fires, adult cats struggling with painful eye issues, and puppies who were left outside in the dead of winter. They all have one thing in common: they need someone to say yes.

That’s where you come in. The funds raised during our Shelter Slumber Pawty help ensure we can continue to say yes to animals in need—providing medical care, safe shelter, warmth, and the chance for a better life.
