Welcome to my Shelter Slumber Pawty fundraising page!
On April 18th, I will be participating in the Boone Area Humane Society's third annual Shelter Slumber Pawty! For 24 hours, staff, volunteers, fosters, and other supporters will spend the night at the shelter to help raise funds for the animals at BAHS and ensure they receive the care they need.
Every year, the Boone Area Humane Society takes in hundreds of animals in need, including strays, abandoned pets, neglected animals, Injured animals, kittens, and so much more! BAHS provides these animals with a second chance at life to find a safe, forever home!
I am raising funds for the shelter so we can continue our vital work for these animals in need. Your generous donation will provide food, shelter, medical care, and the love these animals deserve.
Since March 2024, I have had the privilege of working for BAHS, where I've been fortunate to help hundreds of animals receive the care they need and find their forever homes. One inspiring example is Cheek Lord, a sweet boy who arrived with a severe leg injury that required amputation. Like Cheek Lord, many cats and dogs come to us needing urgent medical attention to thrive and eventually be adopted.
Thanks to BAHS, dogs like Curtis are lucky enough to find their forever home after being given a second chance! This sweet boy was abandoned and spent some time on the run before we could catch him. He took months to even get used to all of us at BAHS, but after receiving plenty of love, treats, and, of course, lots of kisses, Curtis finally earned our trust and left the shelter with his forever humans!
And finally, I have to talk about my boy, Wybie!
Wybie came to BAHS with very poor vision. He had to undergo surgery on his eyelids to improve his sight. I decided to foster him because we were quite full, and I wanted him to get the attention he needed. Wybie healed remarkably well, and after a few months, even though he doesn't have full sight, he can definitely see much better than he could before!
Wybie bonded quickly with my two cats and became an official “foster fail” after a few months. He was given a second chance at life, just like many of the animals we get in who need extra care and love!
Thank you for your support and for considering a donation! Animals like Cheek Lord, Curtis, and Wybie receive the care they need because of donors like you who give them a second chance! My boys, Taj, Wybie, and Niko.
