Emily’s Shelter Slumber Pawty

On Saturday, April 18th, I'll be spending 24 hours at St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center eating, sleeping, and “pawty-ing” with shelter pets—all while raising funds and awareness for pet homelessness.

Over the past year, I’ve participated in St. Hubert’s Field Trips for Dogs program, giving pups a break from the shelter and some extra love outside their kennels. In November, I also fostered my first dog from them! Getting to see how much these animals benefit from even small moments of care and attention is one of the reasons I care so much about supporting their work.

For over 85 years, St. Hubert's has been dedicated to helping animals in need through a people-first, community-based approach. St. Hubert's programs include pet adoption and rescue, life-saving transport in partnership with shelters in need, humane education, training and behavior, and support for families, such as pet food banks, emergency pet boarding, and low-cost vaccine clinics.
