Rocky also loves a good stuffed toy! He had a great holiday in his foster home this year, but would love to find his forever family even more!
Sometimes animals can find their perfect, loving home in the communities they come from. Other times, they benefit from traveling farther away to rescues that have a larger audience of potential adopters. This year, funds raised during the Slumber Pawty will be going to pay for the transport van that is vital in allowing shelter animals find their forever home. Please consider donating!
As someone who fosters (and has adopted) shelter dogs, there is nothing better than seeing an animal relax and blossom in a home. Some shelter dogs are immediately ready for the couch while others require patience and space before they come out of their shell, but that is also where allowing animals to travel to other rescue agencies is so important for them.
Want to see an example of a dog that has blossomed outside of the stress of a shelter? Just look at the pic on the top of this page to see my current foster, Rocky! This boy lived in the shelter for almost 3 years before I met him and agreed to foster, and while we are still working on manners when meeting strangers, Rocky is full of boundless love for the people and animals inside his bubble. His love language is definitely treats and, once he is comfortable, belly rubs!
