As the Shelter Director at CARE STL, I see the faces of so many animals who come to us needing a temporary haven. Whether they were lost, rescued from a terrible situation, or surrendered, my team and I welcome them all with the love and compassion they deserve. It's truly my pride and joy to be a part of this family of animal lovers who embrace fear-free, compassionate care.
To raise crucial awareness and funds for our shelter operations—helping with everything from food to emergency medical care—many of us will be participating in an overnight 'Slumber Pawty' at the shelter on April 18th.
I will personally be cuddling up with one of our deserving pups that night. A dog who may have never known the comfort of sleeping next to a person, a pup who just needs one night of calm to truly let go of their shelter stress.
