Meet Savina! This young lady is looking for her forever home. Funding will be used to support CARE's transport fund and find homes outside of Alabama for dogs just like her.
Savina came to CARE Humane Society from a pretty rough situation with her sister, (maybe) Grace and two young pups. Not sure if they were hers, but she’s definitely had at least one litter. When she first got here, she was absolutely terrified. Wouldn’t let anyone touch her, didn’t trust a single person. But she came around. Slowly but surely. And I’m proud to say I was her second shelter friend!
Now she’s a completely different dog. She’s learned that people aren’t so bad, treats are actually amazing, and snuggles are worth it. She'll even smile at you and do full body wiggles when you walk in.
For some reason she decided I’m her person, and as our front desk dog she’s made it her job to be in my office anytime I’m there. She will literally open the door herself just to come find me, and then lay down and politely chew on her stuffies like the well-behaved baby she is.
She’s a great walking buddy. Rarely pulls and stays right by your side. She likes other dogs but doesn't get too rowdy. Not a fan of outdoor cats, but she’s chill and respectful with them indoors.
Savina is just under 40 lbs, HW-, spayed, and would do best in a home without young kids since they make her a little nervous.
