I'm sleeping at the shelter as part of a nation wide Slumber Pawty to raise money for shelter dogs. The gist? Participants choose a dog to spend 24 hours with and everyone watching gets to see our shenanigans and all the fun we have while raising money for the shelter!!

My decorative theme this year is the ACOTAR series to celebrate the release announcement 🙌🙌 Team Night Court will be slumbering under the stars! You may catch some Throne of Glass and Fourth Wing touches as well 😉

Each participant has their own fundraising page to see who can raise more money.. I was blown away by how much support I got the last time. I didnt think I'd make the $500 goal and I made $5,000 🥳🩷. My goal this year is a tough one, but with the support I got last time, we can totally make it happen!!! My goal is to have at least $2500 raised before I walk in the door for the Slumber Pawty on April 18th. My total goal is $5,000. We can do it!

I choose to volunteer/foster for CARE for many reasons but at the root of it is how dedicated they are to every animal that walks through the doors. There is no giving up on animals at CARE. Every effort is put into meeting every dogs individual needs.

The volunteers and staff are so invested in getting everyone a home that will hopefully be their happily ever after. This often means going above and beyond what most other open admission shelters can't or don't do. It means spending time sitting outside a cage door to calm a scared pup, giving them time to adjust to the stress of the shelter and start to show their true personalities. It means carrying a dog whose paws are raw outside to potty, leading timid dogs step by step with spray cheese or whipped cream, or sitting outside in the rain with them so that they still get time outside. I'm proud to be part of a team that cares so much for these animals that they are willing to do the hard work to make sure every animal has the best outcome possible.
