It all started with my first dog Nala, a rescue. Khan and Maslow are rescues - heck - even the kitties are rescues! We've personally fostered over 40 dogs in our home, which is barely a drop in the bucket compared to the thousands of animals CARE saves each year. With decreasing city funds and lack of grant money available, being the only open intake shelter in St. Louis is a struggle. Constant pressure from the City via changing policies, the overwhelming demand for more fosters and adopters and the never ceasing animals coming in the door plus the brutal #1 puppy mill state status means the odds are stacked against us - every.single.day. And still, we won't stop. We can't, but we can't do it without support, and frankly that means money.

My love for shelter dogs know no bounds - clearly! Help me raise desperately needed funds for the shelter. Every dollar donated goes straight to animal care: food, toys, veterinary needs, enrichment.
