Slumber Pawty with the Animals!

Each morning, I wake up with my two beautiful felines, Meg and Pikachu, and soon after am greeted by my sleepyhead dog, Suki. I often wonder how I got so lucky to have such kind, loving creatures in my life. All three of them came to me through the Washington County Humane Society, where I’ve had the privilege of working for the past seven and a half years.

For nearly five of those years, I’ve had the honor of leading this incredible organization, supported by talented coworkers, dedicated volunteers, and generous donors. Together, we strive to make WCHS an important community resource and a leader both locally and nationally.

What started as a fun, lighthearted idea is now just a couple of weeks away—the Slumber Pawty fundraising sleepover! I’m not entirely sure what we’re getting ourselves into the weekend of April 18, but as I lie awake all night on a Kuranda bed in a kennel, I’ll remind myself that it’s all for a cause I love!
