On April 18th–19th, I’ll be spending 24 hours at the McCracken County Humane Society for the Shelter Slumber Pawty—and yes, that means I’ll be bunking in with a shelter pup for the full experience!

This nationwide event is all about spending real time with shelter animals—sharing their stories, raising funds for their care, and helping them find the loving homes they deserve. It’s not about staying up all night… it’s about staying long enough to truly understand what their world is like.

This year my slumber pawty pawtner is Snow, and he is something truly special!

Snow is a 1-year-old double merle Australian Shepherd mix who is deaf and partially blind—but don’t let that fool you. This sweet boy is FULL of personality. He loves giving kisses, “cobbin,” and rolling over for belly rubs like it’s his full-time job. He’s also a big fan of playing ball… or at least the throwing part 🤣 Finding the ball afterward? That’s a bit more of a group effort.

Snow will need a very special human for his furever home—someone patient, loving, and ready for a one-of-a-kind best friend. And I can’t wait to spend 24 hours getting to know him better, sharing his story, and giving him all the love I possibly can.

I’m so excited to pawty the night away with him (and probably not get much sleep 😅).

If you’d like to support Snow and all the amazing animals at the shelter, donations and shares mean the world!
