Emmy's Shelter Slumber Pawty Fundraiser for CAC

How long do you think you would last in a cement box, watching people pass you by?  How long before you'd give up every finding love or joy?  How long before the constant noise ate at your sanity?  

With pet overpopulation still running unchecked, this is the reality that faces so many dogs in shelters.  When a dog enters, a timer starts.  Will they make it out?  Will they be so damaged from their time waiting that they develop self-harming behaviors or, worse, kennel aggression?  

On April 18, I'm spending the night in a kennel to raise awareness (and dollar dollar bills) for Cincinnati Animal Care.  Our shelter dogs are fortunate to have a huge team of staff and volunteers that do everything in their power to provide affection, enrichment, medical care, and socialization while they are waiting for their forever homes, but a kennel is not a house and it's definitely not a home.
