I’ve been with Cincinnati Animal CARE since August 1, 2020, its very first day! Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles, including dog care, cat care, the volunteer department, and management, along with many opportunities in between.

If I had to choose one thing I love most about CAC, it’s our commitment to meeting each animal where they are and doing everything we can to support them as individuals.

Kitten being rescued from a hoarding situation

In Ohio, shelters are not legally required to fund cat programming, yet CAC takes great pride in caring for the sick, injured, and vulnerable cats of Hamilton County. It’s truly an honor to be part of that mission.

Since 2020, CAC has provided care to more than 18,800 cats. That care spans everything from basic medical treatment and safe shelter to spay/neuter services and critical emergency care.

Beyond my role as staff, I’m also a dedicated foster, primarily for senior cats searching for a peaceful place to land. Over time, I’ve fostered more than 100 animals. More recently, I’ve also become a dog daytripper, expanding the ways I can support our animals.

At home, I have two foster “wins” of my own, Velma and Daphne, along with three resident cats who have fully embraced welcoming kittens and senior fosters alike.

Animal welfare is something I plan to dedicate my life to. Being part of something bigger than myself, surrounded by passionate, like-minded people, is deeply fulfilling. More importantly, it makes a real difference for the animals who need us most.

I’m excited to be part of the first-ever Slumber Pawty at CAC. With your support, we can continue providing lifesaving care to the sick, injured, and vulnerable animals of Hamilton County.
