Shannon's Shelter Slumber Pawty Fundraiser

I am raising money to support this amazing cage free animal shelter that focuses on saving senior dogs and cats 7 years or older. 

I started volunteering at Young at Heart in the Spring of 2025 after following them on Facebook for years.  Since life is less busy (if that is even possible?), I wanted to find something to do that would give me all the feels...joy, love, companionship; allow me to give back to a cause that I could support and that was not to 'peopley'.  So here I am almost a full year later and I am participating in the annual 'Slumber Pawty Fundraiser'.

I mean, I am sleeping with the dogs...literally.  I will be spending the night at the shelter in the 'Main Dog Room' with my friends Chalupa (giving me kisses in the picture above), Pringles, Nena and Alfie. We are planning a low key night reading, watching movies and listening to music.  We might even play a game or two!
