Vicki's Shelter Slumber Pawty Campaign!

I am supporting St Charles Parish Animal shelter along with hundreds of other animal lovers by spending time for 5 hours side-by-side with shelter pets to raise funds and awareness for community animals. 

Since 2016, volunteering at the shelter has been a great source of joy. It’s more than just work; it’s about the transformation of the dogs and the community they touch.

I am a regular participant in the weekly Rescue Run Club on Thursday mornings.  Helping a dog burn off kennel stress is the ultimate therapy for us both. When those lucky pups finally get their "Big Day" transport, I love giving them their special baths. Scrubbing them clean for their new lives is the best way to say goodbye.

The magic of rescue dogs doesn't stop at the shelter gates. Bringing pups to visit local nursing homes is incredible—the smiles they bring to the residents are truly priceless.

In 2018, I found my own soulmate, a Pitbull named Paula, at the St. Charles Parish Shelter. She is a constant reminder that every dog deserves a chance.
