WPAS Shelter Pawty

Washington Parish Animal Shelter is a rural Municipal shelter on the Mississippi line in Louisiana. In 2023 we were a 95% live release rate, we have 12 runs and take in almost 200 animals per year. With a staff of three and a very low volunteer and foster base we spend most of our day making our animals shelter day the best we can. We opened the shelter with a very medical based ideal and have one of the largest municipal low-cost high volume spay/ neuter clinics in Louisiana. With this fundraiser we are hoping to add additional medical tools and machinery to the shelter to offer more services to our public and shelter pets, and create an enrichment garden to give our animals a new secondary area to make our shelter animals stay even more enjoyable.
