For the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of working at the SPCA of Brazoria County, a place that has become so much more than my workplace. As the Front End Manager and a member of our Life Saving Team, I get to see firsthand the difference compassion, teamwork, and community support make for the animals who come through our doors.

Every day, I meet pets who need medical care, patience, stability, and a chance to feel safe again. I also meet the people who love them—families facing hardship, pet owners seeking help, and adopters ready to open their homes. Being part of the life‑saving process means I get to help bridge those gaps and ensure that every animal has the opportunity to thrive.

The Shelter Slumber Pawty is more than a fun overnight event. It’s a chance to shine a light on the animals who rely on us and to raise the funds that make their second chances possible. Donations directly support lifesaving programs—medical treatments, enrichment, supplies, behavior support, and the resources that keep pets out of the shelter and with the families who love them.
