Open door has been important to me for many many years, I found my way to them as a freshly 18 year old, all I knew was I wanted to help animals and they accepted me with open arms, just like they accept many cats and dogs, fresh to the world looking for a place like I was.

They taught me how to keep tiny frail kittens alive all the way up to the oldest of old cats. Open door taught me how to think on my feet and help animals in any setting or situation.

At open door we take alot of broken animals after all, we see some of the worst things imaginable. But man, everyone at open door is so strong, they don't think twice to jump in and say "I'll help!"

Open door also provides help to many families who can't afford food, as well as low cost spay and neuter, anything to keep a pet in a home, if open door can help they will.

Please consider donating, even if only a dollar, every cent helps more than people know.

Happy 50th open door, here's to another 50+ and many more lives saved.
