Ellie's Slumber Pawty Fundraiser

Volunteering with the Humane Society of Marlboro County has been a cause near and dear to me since high school. I started out helping them move to a new facility, walking dogs and cleaning kennels, helping with food drives and fundraisers, and then began fostering dogs with my family. The shelter workers always go above and beyond to care for all the animals, and they graciously embrace every roadside rescue I bring in. I have also adopted both of my dogs pictured above from HSMC, Petunia and Pansy, who started as fosters. HSMC made sure both of my girls had all the care needed, including heartworm treatment to save both of their lives. With such an endlessly large intake of animals, they rely heavily on transports to rescue partners to make space and maintain the shelter's "no-kill" status. This year, we are hoping to raise enough funds to pay off the remaining balance of the transport van as well as additional funds to cover other transport expenses (fuel, van maintenance, etc.) to be able to maintain this lifesaving operation.
