Diana Pupillo's Slumber Pawty Fundraiser

To celebrate five years working at Gateway Pet Guardians, I'll be participating in the 2026 Slumber Pawty. I've attended the past four events on the event planning/logistics side, but this year I'll be on the fundraising side. 

On April 18th, I’ll be spending 24 hours at the shelter with a “shelter buddy” (dog TBD...stay tuned for who gets stuck with me). Together, we’ll be sharing a glimpse into what life is like for animals waiting for homes. 

If you’ve talked to me at any point in the last five years, you already know how much Gateway Pet Guardians means to me. And if you’ve met Gus, the chonky orange cat I adopted last year, who famously “rescued himself” by helping himself to our team’s sardines during TNR, you’ve seen exactly why this work matters. Gus went from street life to ruling my home, and every animal here deserves their own version of that happy ending.
