On April 18th, I’m moving into a shelter kennel at the Elmbrook Humane Society.
For 24 hours, I’ll be living and sleeping alongside a shelter animal to experience a day in their life and, more importantly, to make sure they don’t spend that night feeling alone. I’m participating in the national Shelter Slumber Pawty to raise critical funds for the pets in our community who are waiting for their forever homes.
My goal is to raise $2,000 by April 19th. Every dollar raised stays local and goes directly toward:
Life-saving medical care
Nutritious food
Enrichment and comfort while they wait for their second chance.
Spending a night on a cot in a kennel is a small sacrifice to ensure these animals feel loved and supported. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to experience the unconditional love of a pet, you know exactly why this mission matters so much.
