In honor of those spending their nights alone

$380

$1,000 goal

We are sleeping over and you are invited to tune in with us! Join us, as we spend 24 hours at the Animal Rescue League of NH in honor of Stark.

Stark first came to the Animal Rescue League of NH in July 2024 as part of our low cost spay/neuter program. Her owner couldn't afford to have her spayed at her veterinary office so we were able to help get that done at a subsidized cost. She looked healthy and recovered well from her procedure at home.

Unfortunately, 6 months later her owner needed help again. Stark had been diagnosed with chronic allergies. Her owner was struggling to keep up with the constant medical bills. They decided it was in Stark's best interest to find her a new home.

When Stark came back to us, her eyes were almost swollen shut, her chin and face was full of red, crusty skin, and she had hair loss in multiple spots across her body. It was clear she needed help fast to relieve her of her symptoms.

We began medication and Stark was immediately less itchy. It took a long time to manage her chronic allergies, but her hair is growing back, and she is much more comfortable than when she first arrived.

As of this writing, Stark has spent just under 100 days in the shelter. Although she is comfortable, and has a room all to herself, she has spent almost 100 days sleeping all alone. That is why on April 5th we will be sleeping over with Stark. Please consider making a donation to our sleepover page to help cover the cost of Stark's medical bills as well as all the other animals that spend their nights sleeping along in the shelter. Your donation helps us continue to care for thousands of animals every year until they are able to find their new home where they are no longer sleeping alone.
