Kyle Enjoying His Daily Ride

Love for a senior pet is beyond describable, they seen things that we as humans couldn't even imagine, and yet they still openly share their love as if every day is a new day.  It drives my passion to volunteer my time and energy for those that are voiceless so one day they can feel that true love they all deserve.  Like my friend Kyle did, helping those find their way to loving homes is what I hope to support with this act of giving!

Kyle found his way to me from either Mississippi or Alabama in 2023, initially coming to Illinois as a potential companion for another senior pup in need, only supposing to be a temporary foster.  He somehow had been returned multiple times previously in the South, once because of a new baby, once because he didn't play well with another dog, and always seemed to be that he never got a true shot at a "forever home".

When the companion pup option for Kyle didn't work out as hoped, to no fault of Kyle, my dad commented "It would be nice if Kyle stayed permanently" and I guess the rest "is history" as I had never intended to "foster fail", but Kyle had charmed his way into our hearts without us even knowing as he knew he had found his "forever home" before we did. 

Kyle became part of the "welcome party" with my cat Moe, a dog temperament cat, adopted as a companion for me during the pandemic after some life changing experiences, they both have been true leaders of the pack of revolving senior foster doggos of all shapes, sizes, experiences, and ailments, that the three of us try to help show that love and happiness is possible, no matter what stage of life.

Moe ALWAYS decides when it’s time for me to stop working for the day…

Hope you'll find it in your hearts to share that love, whether it be with time by volunteering, or financially by giving, but however you do, it's more than appreciated as it helps wonderful organizations like Young at Heart help those in need find their "forever homes" like Kyle did!
