$1,000 goal

It's time for a full 24 hours of "pawtying" at WHS to raise funds for the animals! For one full day (and night!), I'll will be eating, sleeping, and pawtying at the Whatcom Humane Society to spotlight what it really takes to care for animals around the clock—from meals to meet-and-greets to enrichment and so much more. Check out my social media for all the updates, and please help me reach my fundraising goal to assist the more than 5,000 animals WHS cares for each year.

In the week leading up to the sleepover I’m highlighting the thing that I am the most passionate about, the welfare of cats and kittens. The work that WHS does in our community truly matters. Alot of people don’t understand what it’s like to be part of a large scale, open admission shelter. Open admission means we take them all. So in the peak of kitten season, when all the other rescues and fosters are full, we get the kittens no one eles wants or has capacity for. The sick ones, the tiny ones, the feral ones, the ringworm ones. We have fosters ready to step in and care for even the most critical cases. Sure, sometimes it’s a scramble, but when it works and all the pieces fall into place, it makes a life and death difference. So of course the scramble is worth it, the hard work means kittens getting to survive and thrive.

The people who make up our WHS foster program are some of the most dedicated, and big hearted individuals I have ever come across. I have learned so much from this beautiful team of real life superheroes.  We love what we do and we prioritize working together to help as many babies as we can.

Your donations will help us continue, and expand our life saving foster care.

Thank you
