New Leash On Life

New Lease On Life is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education, and awareness. Each year, our team cares for more than 7,000 dogs and cats through programs designed to keep pets safe, healthy, and out of the shelter system whenever possible.

Our work includes an Adoption Center and foster program that helps pets find loving homes, a Community Paw Pantry that supports families facing temporary hardship, and The JOY Clinic, our low-cost spay/neuter and medical clinic that addresses the root causes of pet overpopulation. Together, these programs allow us to serve pets and the people who love them across Wilson County and surrounding communities.

At New Leash On Life, we believe prevention, compassion, and collaboration save lives. Events like the Shelter Slumber Pawty help shine a light on the animals in our care and the community support that makes this work possible.
