Will County Humane Society

Will County Humane Society (WCHS) in Shorewood, IL is excited to partner with other incredible organizations across the country for the 2026 Shelter Slumber Pawty! On Friday, April 18, 2026 our staff and volunteers will spend a full 24 hours with our shelter animals. There will be snuggle times, activities, games and sharing spaces, side by side with our animals, to help advocate for the lives of our shelter animals. 

We are participating to bring awareness to the daily lives of shelter animals who patiently wait for their forever homes. For the past 50 years, WCHS has worked tirelessly to help abandoned, abused and homeless animals have a second chance on life. Our goal has always been to place homeless animals with a new, loving forever home. 

We could use your help too! Join #TEAMWCHS2026 and make a difference in the life of shelter animals. Money raised from the Shelter Slumber Party will help cover the necessary medical costs for each animal that enters our shelter. Medical costs vary with each animal, from spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, monthly preventions, special prescription diets all the way to specialized surgeries such as pyometra, FHO hip and necessary knee surgeries.
