Humane Animal Partners (HAP) was formed in 2022 through the merger of Delaware SPCA (est. 1873) and Delaware Humane Association (est. 1957), uniting two longstanding organizations with a shared commitment to animal welfare. Today, HAP is the largest Delaware-based, no-kill animal welfare organization.

Each year, we find loving homes for thousands of dogs and cats while also supporting the people who care for them. In addition to shelter and adoption services, HAP provides low-cost veterinary care, spay/neuter services, vaccination clinics, and free community pet food pantries, all designed to keep pets in homes with the families that love them.

Through innovative events like Slumber Pawty, we raise critical funds to provide medical care, enrichment, and fresh starts for animals in need.
