Helping Strays

We are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming pets in need. Our mission is to partner with our community to ensure every animal receives loving care, while inspiring compassionate pet guardianship through dedicated advocacy and education.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays takes in strays, owner surrenders, and transfer animals from Monroe County and its surrounding areas. Helping Strays adopts out over 1,000 animals annually, while maintaining one of the highest Save Rates.
