Good morning from inside the shelter.
We’ve officially made it through the night—and what an incredible first 18 hours it’s been.
For one night, shelters across the country stay awake together—and this year, for the very first time, the Humane Society of Sheboygan County is proud to be one of them.
We’re here because nighttime in a shelter tells a story most people never see. When the doors close and the world quiets down, our animals are still here. Some finally rest, feeling safe. Others pace, listen, and wait—for healing, for hope, and for a home.
Overnight, you helped us step into that world. The shelter slowed down. The animals settled in. They got snuggles, comfort, and care—and we were right there with them.
And because of you, we reached our midnight goal of $2,500.
Now, we’re setting our sights even higher.

This is our first year participating in the Shelter Slumber Pawty, and we’re doing it because the need is real. Every year, we care for thousands of animals—providing food, medical care, safe shelter, and compassion until they find their next chapter.

One night may seem small, but it represents the many nights our animals spend waiting—for healing, for hope, and for a home.

Every year, we care for thousands of animals in our community—providing food, medical care, safe shelter, and compassionate support until they find their next chapter. Events like the Shelter Slumber Pawty help make that possible.
