Shelter Slumber Pawty 2026
Eating. Sleeping. Pawtying. For the animals.
The Iowa County Humane Society is paws-itively excited to join shelters nationwide for our second annual Shelter Slumber Pawty — a 24-hour fundraising Pawty dedicated to the animals in our care.
For one full day (and night!), we’ll be eating, sleeping, and pawtying at the shelter to spotlight what it really takes to care for animals around the clock — from meals and meds to snuggles, enrichment, and bedtime routines.
Why we Pawty
Last year, our first Shelter Slumber Pawty raised almost $19,000 for animals in our care.
This year, we’re going big with a goal of $50,000 — because the needs don’t stop when the lights go out.
Every dollar raised helps support:
- Daily care and nutritious meals
- Medical treatment and recovery
- Enrichment, comfort, and safe shelter
- The animals who need us most, day and night
How to join the Pawty
There’s no wrong way to Pawty:
- Stop by for an hour, a few hours, or stay overnight (overnight = optional, pajamas = encouraged
)
- Fundraise and share from home — we’ll help you get set up
- Join solo, with friends, family, or coworkers
- Support through sponsorships like kennels, cat condos, as a matching partner, or donate prizes and refreshments for pawticipants.
Participants can also join a private Facebook resource hub with tips, tools, and behind-the-scenes updates.
