We are so excited to be returning for our second year participating with shelters across the county in the Shelter Slumber Pawty as a way to not only fundraise for our little shelter, but also highlight our amazing animals and volunteers while having a great time!
A lot of the animals across the country find themselves displaced from a home living in a shelter kennel hoping to find a second chance at a family. We love the idea of bringing awareness to what that looks like for them for a 24 hr period. At our shelter, we pride ourselves in rehabilitation, plenty of time outside with socialization with both people and other canines companions and positive reinforcement to help each one of our shelter babies become the best version of themselves to optimally set them up for success in their happily ever after homes. We hope to one day get to a point where there are no longer needed but until that time, we will continue to dedicate ourselves to doing everything we can for the animals in our care.
We are a small shelter in the small town of Luling, Texas which has a population of about 5,500 people. Our shelter has a very limited budget so most things have to be funding through donations. Last year, we were able to raise just over $13,000 which helped save so many lives by providing essential medical care, transport to rescue partners up north, enrichment, and so much more. Without these much needed donations, we would not be able to do what we do!
