WHY YOU SHOULD DONATE

Heartland is hosting its second annual Shelter Slumber Pawty April 6-7. Over 24 hours, we will eat, sleep, and Pawty with shelter residents. To be invited to this once-in-a-lifetime event, guests must raise (or donate) $500!  Please help Heartland rescue more sick, injured, and homeless dogs and cats by donating to the Pawty fund and by sharing on social media.

ABOUT THE PAWTY

The party is scheduled for April 6-7! This event is part of an international initiative, with shelters in the U.S. and several other countries working together to raise money for rescue animals.

Over 24 hours, shelter staff, volunteers, and supporters will eat, sleep, and pawty with Heartland dogs and cats while raising money for the shelter via social media. We will have fun with a "Puppies in PJs Parade," cat yoga, pack walks, a peanut butter licking contest, and more. You will also get to cuddle with a kitty or doze with a dog — in their kennels! 

You can share your experience on social media while asking for donations. Last year, more than 220 donors helped Heartland raise nearly $23,000. Our goal this year is $30,000. While fundraising is a key aspect of the event, showcasing Heartland and your favorite pet may be even more important.  

MORE WAYS TO PAWTICIPATE

HOST AT HOME: Can’t sleep at the shelter? We can help you organize a Slumber Pawty at home with your pets and anyone else you want to invite. Imagine animal-themed movies, midnight dog walks, peanut butter treats, and great snacks.

SHARE THIS EVENT: Do you know anyone with a large social media following? Help us recruit celebrities and influencers who may want to get involved!

SPONSOR US: Sponsor the shelter or provide in-kind donations, such as food or supplies, for the event. (You will receive logo placement and social media shoutouts.)
