Lisa's CCHS Love for Animals Fundraiser

Hello all, raising money for an animal shelter, Caroline County Humane Society, that truly cherishes each special soul entrusted to its care! Becoming a volunteer has greatly increased my knowledge and respect for the tremendous amount of work, and subsequent funding, that goes into providing the best care for each animal (both cats and dogs) and its individual needs. Veterinary care is often crucial for these animals who come from many backgrounds, including owner surrender, good Samaritan drop offs, and hoarding situations. With kitten season upon us, there is an overwhelming need for supplies to bottle feed and properly nourish and care for these fragile little ones. This shelter is blessed to have a wonderful staff and many volunteers that do so much on a day to day basis, such as providing enrichment, exercise and loving comfort for animals that are often frightened, grieving and completely out of sorts when they first enter the facility. Not only do we provide these basics, but we are always looking for ways to connect with the community, including recent initiatives to bring animals to visit nursing homes, and adult day care facilities! Fundraising is critical to all the good work done by this exceptional Humane Society, and the Slumber Pawty is the biggest fundraiser of the year!
