Hi. I’m Dusky

This is my second year being at CCHS for the Shelter Slumber Pawty fundraiser.

Last year, I watched people show up, have an amazing time, raise money for dogs like me… and then head home.

I stayed.

I’ve been here all year. I know the routines, the faces, the sounds of the shelter. It’s home for now but it’s not the ending I’m hoping for.
So, when this fundraiser came around again, I started thinking:
If this is year two for me… maybe it’s time I actually take my job seriously and use these movie star looks to raise some money too. 

The humans have been doing their part, showing up year after year to help dogs like me. So, I figured I should show up too, in my own way. I may still be waiting for my home, but I can still help make a difference while I’m here. I can still be part of something bigger than my kennel.
And I’m still hoping that while I’m fundraising for other dogs… someone might see me and decide I’m the one they’ve been looking for.
So, I’m stepping up this year. Officially.
