For most of us, nighttime means curling up in a warm bed, feeling safe and sound. But for the animals at the Humane Rescue Alliance, the shelter can be a loud, unfamiliar, and lonely place to spend the night.

This Saturday, I’m staying overnight at the shelter to experience a small fraction of what our residents go through every day. My goal is to raise awareness and funds to help make their stay here as short and as comfortable as possible.
